Description
I started this drawing back in the summer, and then got frustrated and left it alone for a couple of months. I got tired of drawing apples so I decided to give this one more go. I'm pretty happy with the result. The original image was from the Wet Canvas! image library, if you wish let me know and I'll send you the link. This drawing was done with 2b-ebony pencils and took about 3 hours to draw, and yes most of her face is in shadow...

Some bold hatching and the features outlined clearly, particularly the eyebrow, eye and mouth. 
One or two suggestions, if you don't mind:
- If it's a kind of chiaroscuro effect you'd wanted, try softening the shadow line a little, and darken the other side to suggest that there is indeed another half of the face hidden. The dark tones should extend a little at the area under the chin too, though it depends on the lighting.
- If you'd like a realistic look as well, more shading in areas e.g. underneath the top eyelid, the chin as it edges towards shadow, etc. would help. Highlights for hair, earrings (especially if it has a shiny surface) and the lower lip would be nice, too.
Of course, that's all imho -- just thought I'd mention it. Good drawing skills illustrated here though, so keep it up.
